A new 5-minute film that goes behind the scenes on Christmas Eve at King’s has been released. Commissioned by King’s, the film presents a little insight into the extraordinary preparations that take place before the famous Festival.

The film is made even more special and poignant by the recent death of Sir Stephen Cleobury: it shows the former Director of Music rehearsing the Choir ahead of his last Christmas at King’s, as well as practising his own reading. We see Sir Stephen walk into the Chapel just minutes before the broadcast begins.

Watch the film below, which is released in support of the CD recording of the Centenary Nine Lessons and Carols.
