Terms & Conditions
This page explains kingscollegerecordings.com’s terms of use. You must agree to these to use kingscollegerecordings.com (“this website”).
Who we are
The record label of King’s College Cambridge runs this website, and will be referred to as ‘we’ from now on. King’s College Chapel & Choir, the Shop at King’s, the King’s Visitor Centre and the King’s College Cambridge record label (also known as ‘The Recordings of King’s College Cambridge’) are all part of King’s College Cambridge.
Using this website
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You must also use it in a way that doesn’t infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, this site by anyone else.
We update this site all the time. We can change or remove content at any time without notice.
Services and transactions
You can use this website to purchase products from us. These orders are fulfilled by the King’s Visitor Centre, and payment is taken on behalf of us by Stripe. Stripe may have their own terms and conditions, and you should read these before using their service.
VAT on orders to the EU
From 1 July 2021, VAT on orders to the EU will be collected by the courier and charged separately to the customer. You may find that your order takes a bit longer to get to you, and you may need to pay VAT before your order is delivered to you.
Gift cards
We reserve the right to cancel gift cards when we deem it necessary to do so. Your gift card can be used on this site for physical and digital products, but we reserve the right to exclude products for any reason and without notice. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
You can check your gift card’s balance here: https://www.kingscollegerecordings.com/balance/
Gift cards are valid for up to two years, after which they expire and any remaining balance will no longer be available for use.
We can’t be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cards, and we won’t refund unauthorised spend from a gift card.
Returned products in accordance with our terms and conditions, where the product was bought using a gift card, will result in a refund (where appropriate) being credited to the original gift card.
Downloads
We offer downloadable products through this website. Unless otherwise stated, all products are copyright, and you must not duplicate downloaded products for any purpose other than personal backup. You must not upload copyright files to file-sharing or social media sites, nor may you share the file with others or use the file to present the video as a public showing: in doing so you would be breaking the law.
Some downloads are large files, and it’s your responsibility to ensure that your internet connection is suitable for the size of download. We may not be able to process a refund if you change your mind after attempting to download a product, unless the product itself is faulty.
Competitions
When we run competitions, we’ll tell you when the competitions run, and these times are in UK time. The decision of King’s College is always final, and we reserve the right to change the conditions at any time. We’ll never ask you to pay to enter a competition, nor will we make you purchase anything to be entered into a competition.
Competition entrants must be 18 or over. We can’t take responsibility if, for any reason, your entry into a competition is lost or delayed.
You’ll only win what we specify is the prize. For example, free tickets to a concert won’t include travel or expenses paid for you. If you’re unable to collect or redeem your prize, we will be unable to offer you an alternative.
We’ll draw the winners randomly. Employees of King’s College and its affiliates aren’t eligible to win our competitions.
If you enter a competition, you grant us the right to use your name when we announce the winner.
